Calling John Galt…

By curtislowe

Wow.

Think he doesn’t get it?

From Michelle Malkin:

Going Galt: Tax hikes have consequences

President Barack Obama’s tax proposal which promises to increase taxes for those families with incomes of $250,000 or more — has some Americans brainstorming ways to decrease their pay, even if it’s just by a dollar.

“We are going to try to figure out how to make our income $249,999.00,” she said.

“We have to find a way out where we can make just what we need to just under the line so we can benefit from Obama’s tax plan,” she added. “Why kill yourself working if you’re going to give it all away to people who aren’t working as hard?”

Imagine that!  The reaction of small business owners is to curtail business and economic activity in order to avoid the confiscatory taxes set above an arbitrary income level.  Gee who didn;t see that coming?  That’ll certainly “stimulate” the economy and create jobs!

And if you don’t get the Atlas reference, read (or re-read) this.

Or this.

Or this.

Or this.

Or this.

Or especially, this.

Nicki has a post on it here.

Here’s what I have to say:

i think the idea(s) of the tea party is RIGHT on! but it really ought to be just “T” because we have no real gripe with tea, it’s T for TAXES or TRILLIONS that we need to focus on, in my opinion.
this new phrase about “going galt” is especially curious to me as it is an uncommon name, spelled that way. it was my mother’s maiden name. the spirit of it is certainly RIGHT on, too.
wish us all luck because we’re going to need it.

It looks like “Bob”’s prophecy is finally coming true. Even the Normals are deciding to repent, quit their jobs, and SLACK OFF!
