I think over the next few years (decades?) we will be have a lot of fodder for conversations about Unintended Consequences. Specifically, the unintended consequences of all the CHANGE!!! that Obama continues to bring us (whether we want it or not).
I hadn’t thought of this, mostly I guess because I do not own an On-Star equipped vehicle. But Say Uncle pointed out that with the fedgov owning 70% of GM, they will also own and control the On-Star system.
Now, don’t you feel all warm and fuzzy about having a system in your car that allows the fedgov to listen to your conversations and track your movement, speed and current location?
Oh, and from the wikipedia web site: Starting 2009, General Motors will equip some new vehicles with Stolen Vehicle Slowdown. This allows police to remotely slow down the vehicle.
