Today in 1876, Ta-Tanka I-Yotank and Thašuŋka Witko taught “the boy general” a thing or three about battlefield tactics.

The Battle of the Little Bighorn—also known as Custer’s Last Stand, and, in the parlance of the relevant Native Americans, the Battle of the Greasy Grass was fought 132 years ago today.
