Its Like When Your Dog Senses An Earthquake Coming…

From Say Uncle:

Wisconsin: Obama election triggers run on gun sales in state

Think it is isolated to Wisconsin?

How about Arizona?

Virginia?

New Jersey?

Montana…

Colorado…

Texas,

North Carolina,

Georgia,

And that’s just from the first page when I googled “Gun Sales Obama.”

I live in Montana. I think there are more guns than people here already. But I’m up for another excuse to buy one!

Add Massachusetts. I’m buying a couple more to add to the ones I already have. If I have to spend money to aid the economy, it will not be buying trinkets and giving tips to wait staff who probably voted for Obama. It will be to support the firearms industry.

Consider that many of these sales are to people genuinely afraid these guns may someday be outlawed.

That they are buying them anyway does NOT suggest any intention of turning them in if they ARE ultimately banned.

Can this get really ugly down the road?

Or will the sheer numbers of these buyers give pause to at least some of the politicians?

  19. Flash Gordon Says:

Democrats have always been excellent gun salesmen. Obama has the talent and the drive that makes a top salesman and has quickly moved to the very top of the ranks. His community mindedness is also commendable because he seems to be doing this work without even asking for any sort of commission on each sale.

Ditto on CT. I only finally escaped here last year from the People’s Republic of NYC so I have a lot of catching up to do, gun wise. Four and counting – one in the last week, plus LOTs of ammo ranging from .22 to 9×18 to 7/62.

Anyone that is buying guns/ammo/food right now should also buy and read: Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse by James Wesley Rawles.

Damn good story and many parallels to the current situation. Tons of useful information and hints. We can all hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I heard that the Bushmaster waiting list went from 4 days to 21 months within two days after the election.

  25. Rignerd Says:

I wonder if we can get some of the UAW workers jobs making more guns before the AWB gets passed?

  26. Peter Says:

I have enough guns. I’m buying primers, powder and jacketed bullets and lead for bullet casting.
While the Second Amendment is pretty clear on guns there is nothing in it that says Congress can’t tax ammo at ten dollars a round. Already some states are trying to outlaw lead cored jacketed bullets as well as lead cast bullets.
Buying five thousand primers and an eight pound jug of powder doesn’t sound as sexy as saying I bought an AR15 or an M1A but I’ll be feeding my stuff. Well I would be if the guns had not all been lost in that tragic canoe turnover. That’s it, a canoe turnover.

  27. Eric Says:

Add Delaware. They were packed like sardines in Dover and Smyrna Sporting Goods stores.
