Obama pushes D.C. voting rights bill

President Barack Obama urged lawmakers Friday to give the District of Columbia a voting member of Congress.

A bill to give the city just that is expected to be brought for a vote in the House next week.

Report Questions Constitutionality of Giving D.C. a Vote

The research arm of Congress says that legislation to give the District a vote in the House of Representatives is probably unconstitutional, a finding that could jeopardize its chances of passage, officials and analysts said yesterday.

Unconstiwhatzit?!?!?!! Why do you people keep bringing up such out-dated, old-fashioned and quaint notions about the Consti-watchcallit?  That thing was written years and years ago –we can’t stop to think about that old thing every time we propose a new law – we’d never get anything done! Besides, we got Hope-N-Change now.  Constipooshin, indeed!  Geez.
