Desperate much?

MTV, BET and CMT are casting the audience for town hall meeting with President Obama. Shooting Oct. 14, 4 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

Seeking—Audience Members: males & females, 18+.

To apply, email townhallaudience@mtvnmix.com and put “Town Hall” in the subject line. To ensure that the audience represents diverse interests and political views, include your name, phone number, hometown, school attending, your job and what issues, if any, you are interested in or passionate about. Also, provide a recent photo and short description of your political views. Submission deadline: Oct. 14. No pay.

So now he’s down to casting Town Hall meetings?

And what the hell is this bullshit about “diverse interests and political views?”  Does anyone really believe that?  That’s like casting Dumb and Dumber – only they’re looking to cast Lefty, Lefter and Leftest.

And note, of course, we need photos.  To ensure diversity.  Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with the politically correct, non-controversial questions which it will be your privilege to ask teh iWon.

And, FYI – October 14th is a Thursday.  I wonder where most productive people (i.e., taxPAYERS with JOBS) will be at 4:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon?

And funniest of all…You want to know where this ad ran?

In Backstage, which is basically the “want ads” for placing actors in pre-scripted roles…

I love the smell of desperation in October…

Not much different than what Bush did. His team would vet the backgrounds of everyone attending and only allow in people who held similar views. If someone snuck in and asked uncomfortable questions, the secret service and/or police would escort them out, sometimes arrest them.
