Don’t give me rules…

All I got are rules.

Merry Christmas…

December 24, 2010

To all of the people wearing the uniform of this country – in places other than their home towns tonight…I know what it is like.  I, along with my brother and many of my friends, spent more than one Christmas far away from home under less than “ideal” conditions.

It’s funny,  but back then I never really thought about it as a “sacrifice,” rather – a part of the job I had signed up for and was proud to do.

Now that I am older and have a family of my own I understand that it is a sacrifice for them and their families.

So say a prayer tonight for our service men and women, standing guard and making sure we can celebrate this joyous occasion in PEACE.

That’s what it takes to be a hero, a little gem of innocence inside you that makes you want to believe that there still exists a right and wrong, that decency will somehow triumph in the end.

Quote of The Day

December 20, 2010

President Barack Obama holds up a copy of a children’s book he wrote ‘Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters’, before reading to students…

It’s always about him, isn’t it?  Well, on to the quote of the day…

My country is for me
Sweet land of spending spree
for me I sing.

Land of the big free ride
the rich pay and I decide
who maaaay live or die
I won. I am king.
