All This And a Toaster Too!

I started out to fisk the transcript of Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s acceptance speech from last night’s convention, but after getting a few paragraphs into it, I decided to go the short course instead.  So in case you didn’t watch the DNC love-fest last night, here in a condensed version is what Barack HUSSEIN Obama promised (either explicitly or implicitly) to his acolytes:

• More affordable College Tuition
• Universal health care
• Create more jobs/keep jobs in America
• More veterans benefits
• Paid sick leave
• “Better” family leave (Better than what?)
• Better “pension protection” from CEOs (How many people besides government employees do you know who still have pensions?)
• Equal pay for an equal day’s work (whatever that is)
• Prevent another Katrina (now he is God – can control the weather)
• Cut taxes for 95% (!) of all working families (which is, apparently, – in his own words –  his definition of the “middle class”)
• End dependence on Mideast oil in 10 (!) years. WTF is he smoking?!?!?!?!
• Invest in: Drilling, natural gas production, clean coal, Detroit automakers’ retooling, MORE education, and in particular, invest $150 BILLION in wind energy, renewable energy and bio-fuels over the next 10 years.

And here is the money quote about McCain that shows the huge, gaping chasm between people who believe in the free-market, liberty-fueled capitalist model of society, and socialists like Barack HUSSEIN Obama:

For over two decades, (McCain’s) subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy, give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else. In Washington, they call this the Ownership Society, but what it really means is, you’re on your own. Out of work? Tough luck. No health care? The market will fix it. Born into poverty? Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, even if you don’t have boots. You’re on your own.”

OK:  This one paragraph I will fisk:

For over two decades, (McCain’s) subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy, give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else. (No, it isn’t given to them and they aren’t “lucky.”  The vast majority of “the ones with the most” earned it through ingenuity, risk-taking, hard work and sacrifice – and they are the business owners, large and small, that employ the bulk of Americans – asshole).

In Washington, they call this the Ownership Society (Exactly!  As in private property ownership – the cornerstone of all rights-based and law-based societies and the antithesis of what you believe in and propose),

but what it really means is, you’re on your own. Out of work? Tough luck. (Yeah, get a job.  I’ve been out of work (recently).  Guess what?  I found another job…Shovel shit if you have to until something better comes along, work two shifts at McDonalds to pay the bills, spend your days looking for work, but don’t sit on your ass waiting for the government {read: taxpayers} to bail your ass out with food stamps, welfare and government housing).

No health care? The market will fix it. (The freakin’ “market” that you deride, you communist, is what ensured that entrepreneurial people could build this country into what it is – one of the most educated, healthiest, richest, most generous, world-leading societies ever!  In just over 200 years!).

Born into poverty? Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, even if you don’t have boots. (Yeah – my father did it; he was, literally, fatherless AND shoeless at age 10 and became a successful businessman and a model citizen – so don’t tell me it can’t be done).

You’re on your own. (No, you are not.  That’s what family, friends, your church, and your neighbors are for.  What the hell do you think people who were down on their luck did in this country before your deity, FDR, created welfare and social security?  They turned to, and helped, each other).

Now go back and read that (partial) list up there of the things that Barack HUSSEIN Obama is promising in his new Utopia.

Then compare all of that to what THIS authorizes him to do.

And never the twain shall meet.

And the sad thing is.  McCain is promising the exact same shit sandwich – in a different wrapper.
